Broadcasting staff inoculated with flu vaccines

BANGKOK- Doctors from the Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute (BIDI) have given inoculations of 3 flu strains for authorities at the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand

The vaccines consist of strain A of the H1N1 influenza of 2009, the H3N2 and the B strain. The vaccines will provide protection for 1 year.

BIDI Director Chariya Sangsajja says the outbreak of flu is usually severe during the rainy and cold seasons. Those who are especially at risk are people aged 65 and above, women who are over 4 months pregnant, children from 6 months to 2 years old as well as people with chronic diseases.
