YOKOHAMA – St the Japan Martial Arts Expo, Thai fighting legend Buakaw Banchamek made his debut in professional boxing, facing off against local fighter Koji Tanaka in a 3-round special bout under boxing rules in Japan on October 19.
Both fighters exchanged fierce blows throughout the match, especially in the third round, where they went all-out in an intense exchange of punches. However, neither fighter managed to secure a knockout, and after three rounds, the match ended in a draw.
This bout marked Buakaw’s first-ever fight under boxing rules, as he is primarily known for his career in Muay Thai and kickboxing. Despite the unfamiliar format, Buakaw delivered an exciting performance for fans in Japan.
