Cabinet approves transfer list of high-ranking Interior officials

BANGKOK, 21 July 2015 – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-cha has approved the annual reshuffle of high-ranking Interior Ministry officials at the cabinet meeting today.

Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda had proposed to the meeting a list of high-ranking officials to be transferred. Among those having been promoted is director-general of the Department of Provincial Administration Kritsada Boonraj, who is now appointed Permanent Secretary for Interior, whereas a deputy permanent secretary for Interior, Mr. Arthit Boounyasophat, will replace Mr. Kritsada in his old job.

Three other deputy Permanent Secretaries for Interior, namely Mr. Charin Chakkapak, Mr. Maitri Inthusut and Apinan Suethanuwong are appointed the Director-General of the Department of Local Administration, the Director-General of the Community Development Department , and the Director-General of the Land Department, respectively.

Four provincial governors from Narathiwat, Chainat, Ubon Ratchathani and Nakhon Sawan are appointed new deputy permanent secretaries for Interior.

Mr Kritsada Boonraj will be the first top official of the Interior Ministry who was graduated from Ramkhamhaeng University’s Political Science faculty. His predecessors were graduates from either Chulalonkorn or Thammasat universities.
