BANGKOK, 25 September 2013 The Cabinet on Tuesday endorsed the re-appointments of many high-level civil service officials, including 31 officials under the Ministry of Interior.
Under the reshuffle, Bung Kan governor Phongsathon Satchachonlaphan will become Pathumthani governor, Nonthaburi governor Wichien Phutthiwinyu will become Chiang Mai governor, Samut Songkhram governor Thanon Wetkorakan will become Nonthaburi governor, Ratchaburi governor Chonchuen Bunyanusan will become Samut Songkhram governor, Nakhon Si Thammarat governor Wirot Chiwarangsan will become Loei governor, and Narathiwat governor Aphinan Suethanuwong will become Nakhon Si Thammarat governor.
At the same time, Department of International Trade Promotion director-general Sirat Ratthapana was appointed permanent-secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, becoming the 2nd woman to be appointed to the post.
Current Commerce permanent-secretary Watchari Wimuktayon, the first woman permanent-secretary for the ministry, indicated that she would like her successor to place importance on controlling the living cost, the rice pledging scheme, and export promotion.
