Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is set to chair a mobile cabinet meeting in Nong Bua Lam Phu province on Dec 4, where 81 development projects worth approximately 7.4 billion baht will be proposed. This meeting is part of Srettha’s tour of the upper Northeast provinces, including Bueng Kan, Loei, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lam Phu, and Udon Thani.

The projects involve infrastructure, logistics, drug suppression, poverty eradication, and agricultural technology upgrades. A key proposal involves extending Nong Khai’s special economic development zone to include Udon Thani’s industrial estate, aiming to unify benefits for businesses in both areas.

Plans for a new logistics park in Udon Thani and establishing a free zone for e-commerce are on the agenda. They are expected to boost trade and economic activities in the region.

Ahead of the meeting, the Premier visited a new drug rehabilitation program in Na Klang district, offering support for its role in community reintegration. Deputy Interior Minister Songsak Thongsri also engaged with locals in Bueng Kan’s Phon Charoen district, addressing their concerns for discussion at the upcoming cabinet meeting. (NNT)
