Car-motorcycle road rage incident ends in violence in Nonthaburi

NONTHABURI, ThailandA dramatic confrontation between a motorcycle taxi driver and a car driver unfolded in Nonthaburi, on November 3. The incident, captured on video, began when the car driver cut off the motorcycle, prompting a heated exchange between the two.

As tensions escalated, the car driver reportedly brandished a knife, measuring approximately 50 centimeters in length. In response, the motorcycle driver, identified as 54-year-old Saichon Kamsat, challenged the car driver to use the weapon. When the driver did not comply, Saichon threw several punches, knocking the car driver to the ground and continuing to strike him.



Witnesses intervened to prevent further violence, and the situation quickly drew attention from onlookers. Following the altercation, both men sustained injuries; Saichon was later treated for a severe knife wound to his abdomen, requiring 18 stitches.

Local police from the Rattanathibet Police Station are investigating the incident. Both drivers have filed complaints, and authorities have requested medical examinations to aid in the investigation. The event serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers associated with road rage and the importance of remaining calm in stressful situations.
