BANGKOK, 14 October 2013 Recent reports have showed that Chachoengsao’s water situation is still at a critical level – especially in three tambons of Bang Khla district and Tambon Bang Rong in Khlong Kheun district. Water levels have reached as high as 80-150 cm; local residents have severely been affected.
High sea levels have made it difficult for water in the Bangpakong River to drain out to sea. The river itself had overflowed into local residents and nearby areas.
Deputy Governor of Chachoengsao Bandit Thewithiwarak revealed that water continues to flow in to the province. He expected it would take another month before water levels subside and the situation returns to normal.
