Chiang Rai – The northern province of Chiang Rai is organizing the King Mengrai Festival 2019 from now until February 4.
The Governor of Chiang Rai, Prajon Prachsakul, presided over the opening ceremony of the festival at Old Chiang Rai Airport in Chiang Rai’s Muang District on Sunday (Jan 27).
This annual event is being held to celebrate the 757th anniversary of the founding of Chiang Rai by King Mengrai.
At the festival, academic works are displayed and there are exhibition booths organized by government agencies as well as the Red Cross Chapter of Chiang Rai. The event also features booths selling One Tambon One Product (OTOP) goods.
