Chinese ambassador commends government’s non-violent method toward situation

BANGKOK, 28 November 2013 Chinese ambassador to Thailand Ning Fukui on Wednesday commended the government’s use of peaceful methods to solve the current political problem, and expressed hope for parties in the conflict to achieve a solution through talks. 

His Excellency Ning Fukui visited Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Wednesday to express his concern over the political situation in Thailand. He also asserted that Thai-Chinese relations were developing well and there were ongoing collaborations in many aspects, including in infrastructure mega-projects.

Several countries have expressed concerns over the current developments in Thailand, with the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia having issued announcements expressing their worries over the situation. The foreign states also urged all parties to exercise restraint and avoid the use of violence. They also declared they hope the situation would be peacefully resolved.
