Underprivileged kids from the Soi Yek Thamada neighborhood enjoyed a day of fun and educational activities as part of a city program to improve the quality of life for slum children.
Deputy Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn opened the Jan. 16 event at Chonglom Temple.
Activities included painting, clay molding, decorating plaster dolls and cloth bags as well jigsaw puzzles, plus arts and crafts with bottles and ice cream sticks. There were also games teaching Thai proverbs, environmental conservation and free haircuts.
