Samui Island welcomes cool weather, drawing tourists to the scenic ‘Cha Chin Hill’ for a 360-degree view, refreshing breezes, and a tranquil escape from the beaches.

SURAT THANI, Thailand – Koh Samui, known for its beautiful beaches, is now attracting tourists to experience cool weather and breathtaking views from its mountain tops. On January 15, visitors flocked to “Cha Chin Hill” in the Maenam sub-district of Koh Samui to enjoy the fresh 23°C breeze, capturing stunning panoramic photos of the island.

Many international tourists have shifted from beach activities to book off-road tours, driving four-wheel vehicles to the hilltop. From this vantage point, visitors can see Koh Samui’s coast, Koh Phangan, Ban Bang Rak Bay, and the Samui Airport. The hill’s unique vantage point offers a serene morning atmosphere, with temperatures dipping to 19-20°C, mist covering the ground, and clear views of the sunrise from the east.



The “Cha Chin Hill” viewpoint, which has recently gained popularity, welcomes around 250-300 tourists each day, depending on the weather. It has quickly become a new destination for adventurers, offering a refreshing break from the island’s usual beach scene. Visitors particularly enjoy the calm, cloudy conditions that enhance the visibility of the ocean below.
