BANGKOK, Thailand – The Meteorological Department announced that from October 23-29, northern Thailand will experience reduced rainfall and cooler temperatures. Meanwhile, continuous rain is expected in the southern region.

A high-pressure system or cold air mass from China spread over Laos on October 20. This will initially bring rain to northern Thailand, but rainfall is expected to decrease after October 22, followed by cooler weather. Mountain peaks and highland areas will begin to experience cool to cold conditions.

However, some scattered showers may still occur in the lower central and eastern regions.

From October 23-29, northern Thailand will see a decline in rain and a gradual drop in temperatures as northern winds cover the region. In contrast, the southern region will continue to receive rainfall, requiring close monitoring. (TNA)
