BANGKOK, Thailand – The Thai Meteorological Department has reported a drop in temperatures and strong winds across the upper regions of Thailand. Residents are advised to take precautions as the changing weather conditions may affect their health. Meanwhile, the southern regions are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas. Bangkok and surrounding provinces will also see slight temperature drops and strong winds.

A moderate high-pressure system or cool air mass from China has extended over the upper regions of Thailand and the South China Sea. This will result in cooler temperatures and strong winds in affected areas. Residents are encouraged to take care of their health amidst these changing conditions.

The northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and southern regions has strengthened, causing heavy to very heavy rainfall in the southernmost provinces. Moderate sea conditions are expected in the Gulf of Thailand, with waves reaching 1-2 meters and exceeding 2 meters in thunderstorm-prone areas. Mariners are advised to avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
