On June the 29th Pattaya police were notified that a51 year old Australian businessman had been robbed whilst traveling on his motorbike beside the Pattaya floating market.
The man stated that he and his wife were on the way back from conducting some business to his house in Ban Bangsarae when a group of Thai men on motorbikes shot a stone at the man’s neck using a catapult.
Police found the stolen motorbike thanks to it GPS.
When the man stopped his bike to check on the wound, the gang snatched a bag off of his wife’s shoulder which contained a digital camera, and passports and then stole the motorbike as well.
However the motorbike had GPS fitted to it so the police were able to find out where it was, but there was no sign of any of the gang members who are still at large.
