BANGKOK, 16 July 2015 -The Ministry of Commerce is pushing ahead with expanding the coverage of its “Nu Nit Pha Chim” project into the various regions of Thailand, with Buriram chosen as a pilot province.
Minister of Commerce Chatchai Sarikulya revealed that he will be attending the launch of the ‘Nu Ni Pha Chim’ program in Buriram on Friday (July 17). The program is a collaboration between the provincial chamber of commerce, the local Ministry of Commerce office and major goods manufacturers. The objective of the program is to provide the public with an opportunity to buy ready-made food at fair prices, while avoiding drawing from public funds. 92 food vendors in the province have already joined the program.
The Department of Internal Trade has been assigned to consult with the Board of Trade on using the network provided by the provincial chambers of commerce in persuading at least 100 food vendors in each province to join the program.
