BANGKOK, Thailand – The exhibition “Cultural Space for Happiness: Sculptures for the Community,” organized by the Ministry of Culture, is now open for public viewing daily (except holidays) from 10.00 to 18.00 hr, until 20 November 2024 at the National Gallery in Bangkok.
With the aim to create a contemporary arts landmark in Bangkok, the exhibition includes showcases of various sculptures, installations, photographs, and videos from renowned Thai artists.
Here are some of the highlights:
– “Liminal Space” – A sparkling, tall, cone-shaped sculpture;
– “Tai Yuan Pik Baan” – An inflatable pagoda depicting Tai Yuan culture in Thailand;
– “Polka Dot Dog” – Giant dog sculptures portraying the intelligence of Thai dog breeds;
– “Dragonerpanzer” – Porcelain sculpted tanks;
– “DOLLAR 009” – A large sculpture of a girl made from fiberglass, representing people’s adaptation to live in an ever-changing world. (PRD)
