Recently, the department intercepted an express parcel declared as dietary supplements. However, upon inspection, it was found to contain a large quantity of heroin, valued at several million baht. The move underscores the necessity of detailed and rigorous inspections of all parcels entering the Kingdom.

The operation serves as an example of the collaboration between different agencies to combat the drug problem at both national and international levels.



So far, officials recorded 55 cases of drug seizures in the current fiscal year, with a value of over 309 million baht. The statistics highlight the severity of the drug problem and the importance of the continuous efforts of the Customs Department and related agencies in inspecting and preventing drug smuggling. (NNT)
