Bangkok – The Ministry of the Digital Economy and Society (DE) has assured the population that Thai servers were not harmed when hacker groups launched recent malware attacks on various nations, and that it has integrated the work of six groups to strengthen defenses.

DE Minister Pichet Durongkaveroj has ordered Thammasat University to sever its digital connections and begin a retroactive probe, while voicing confidence in the integrity of Thai data systems as well as in global systems, which stringently protect data exchanges.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense, Gen Prawit Wongsuwan similarly voiced confidence in protections enacted by the DE and gave an assurance that the Kingdom’s security systems have not been damaged.
