BANGKOK – Employment Department Director General Arak Prommanee said his agency will help job seekers from drought-affected areas in the provinces by providing them with information and employment services.
The department has coordinated with employers and entrepreneurs to recruit employees among a large number of job seekers in drought- affected areas. That is viewed as a measure to prevent them from being victimized by illegal job brokers who might falsely promise high pays.
Some department officials will advise job seekers of job opportunities including those which can be done at home while others are available for job consultations at Bangkok’s Mo Chit Bus Terminal and Hua Lampong Railway Station where job seekers may arrive from the provinces around the clock.
Mr. Arak suggested that the job seekers who prefer to leave the drought-hit areas to get employed elsewhere check out job opportunities by contacting the department’s Smart Job Center or its provincial employment offices or calling the department’s hotline 1694.
