BANGKOK,(NNT) – Department of Labor Skill Development Director General Kreetha Sopchok said unskilled and semi-skilled workers are yet to be trained as skilled workers to accommodate the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
During the period between October 2015 and September 2016, the department has targeted to train 1,239,544 workers with a budget of 735,800,100 baht.
Besides, the competitiveness of industrial enterprises will be enhanced through the projects for increasing labor productivity, developing the national labor skill standards and enhancing labor potentials for such industry as automobile and auto parts. The enterprises will be encouraged to organize more training programs for their workers.
