BANGKOK 2 June 2014 – The Department of Land Transport has issued new rules and regulations for the driver’s license examination, which is set to take effect on June 2, 2014.

Newer versions of the exam have been issued for those who wish to take the driver’s test. Director- General of the Department of Land Transport Asdsathai Rattanadilok Na Phuket led a group of press officials to observe the new process of receiving the licenses.

The original exam had 30 questions, whereas the newer version would have 50 questions total. Test takers would now need a score of at least 90% to qualify for a passing score compared to the original 75%. The new regulation takes effect on June 2, 2014.

In order to ensure more transparency in the exam, computer touch screens have been brought in to integrate the E-Exam system into the process. Test takers will then be able to receive their test scores immediately after the exam. For more information, visit www.dlt.go.th.
