BANGKOK – The Department of Industrial Promotion (DIP) has launched the DIP STARS program to promote local small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The program would select SME operators from high growth and high impact sectors to attend courses on business development and organizational restructuring. Industries with high growth include electronics, automobile, food and drink, power distribution, cosmetics, and herbal products. Industries with high impact include machinery, latex, plastics, and textile and apparel.

Participants would learn more about technology and innovation related to their business, along with how to access more capital.

The department expects the attendees to be able to expand their business, explore the possibility of going public on the Market for Alternative Investment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand, receive international recognition, get support from the Board of Investment, and establish a foothold in international markets.
