BANGKOK, 10 January 2013  In order to Don Mueang Airport is prepared to revamp its facilities to be able to give more convenience to physically-challenged passengers.

Secretary to the Transport Minister Thitima Chaisang and representatives from the Redemptorist Foundation for the Disabilities on Wednesday visited the airport to see how they could improve the facilities so that people with disabilities could be more comfortable while at the airport.

Facilities such as slopes for wheelchairs, automatic doors, bigger parking slots, and clearer airport maps are part of the plan.

Don Mueang Airport General Manager Paranee Vatanotai said she had received feedback from a number of people with disabilities, which has helped them understand better about what needed to be improved for the benefits of the disabled.
