Two Indian men who solicited after-midnight massages from two women they met in front of their hotel were robbed of more than 60,000 baht in cash and jewelry.
Y. Gupta, 41, and O. Singh, 37, told police around 4 a.m. Jan. 6 the two women they picked up took them to a short-stay room near their Central Pattaya Hotel. Shortly into the massage, the women shouted that the police were coming and fled the room.
Still puzzled at what was so illegal about a simple massage, the men put on their clothes to find that their combined 22,000 rupees, $800, 1,500 baht and gold necklace worth 20,000 baht were gone.
