The forum, held at Sisaket Rajabhat University, welcomed participants from government agencies, the private sector, academia, farmers’ associations, civil society, and political representatives. The provinces represented include Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Buri Ram, Surin, Sisaket, Yasothon, Ubon Ratchathani, and Amnat Charoen. The gathering encouraged the exchange of ideas between key sectors, with a shared goal of generating regional economic transformation through locally driven projects.

The Ministry of Interior, under Anutin’s leadership, is reintroducing itself as an active player in national economic development by integrating provincial planning across public investment, business initiatives, and grassroots engagement. The goal is to align development activities with the specific strengths and resources of each area, creating jobs and new income streams for residents. The Sisaket forum is the first in a planned series of similar regional events across the country.

During the sessions, presentations by business leaders and young agricultural entrepreneurs from across the region were featured, along with policy discussions involving economic experts, members of local administrative organizations, and regional Members of Parliament. The discussions are expected to soon generate proposals that can be translated into action at both provincial and national levels.

Following the forum, Anutin and his delegation visited communities in Si Rattana district to meet with economic crop growers. They then traveled to Kantharalak district to join the “Home-Kan” Festival, which showcases grassroots innovation and collaborative development in the northeastern region. This festival highlights local creativity and community-driven initiatives, fostering sustainable economic growth and community engagement in the province and throughout the Northeast. (NNT)
