BANGKOK, 13 February 2014 The Election Commission has announced that the general election for senators is set to be held on March 30 and advance voting will take place on March 23.
EC Secretary General Puchong Nutrawong said that candidates can register to run in the election during March 4-8.
Voters can register in advance during February 17-28 in order to exercise their rights in the election. Those who had signed up for advance voting in January do not need to re-register.

Advance voting was blocked in 83 constituencies on January 26, including 47 constituencies in southern provinces, 33 in Bangkok, and one each in Phetchabun, Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram.
