SAMUT PRAKAN, Feb 25 – Eight workers have been killed, with at least two others stuck in debris when the concrete beam connecting two buildings of Ramathibodi-Bang Plee Hospital in Samut Prakan province collapsed on Tuesday.
A rescue team rushed to help some 20 construction workers injured at the building site and sent 16 of them to Jularat Hospital, while another four persons were sent to Bang Plee Hospital.
Witnesses said the concrete structure supporting the building’s elevators collapsed and the debris fell onto workers who had lunch at the site.
Eight workers were reportedly killed in the incident, Twenty persons were injured and two others are still missing.
