BANGKOK, Thailand – Mrs. Wantanee Wattana, the Bangkok Permanent Secretary, on September 6, inaugurated a basic life support training program in honor of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s 72nd birthday at Rattanakosin Hall, Bangkok City Hall (Sao Chingcha).

The Erawan Medical Center organized the event to enhance public knowledge and skills in providing initial emergency aid for patients in critical conditions. The program focused on teaching participants how to properly perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through chest compressions and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). The hands-on training provided realistic practice to ensure that participants can offer timely and effective assistance to those experiencing cardiac arrest.

A total of 300 Bangkok residents participated in the training, which aims to empower them as crucial first responders in emergencies, improving survival rates and emergency response efficiency in their communities.
