BANGKOK 3 February 2014 Erawan Medical Center has reported no violent clashes or injuries during the election day. Since the protests began, however, there have been 594 injuries and 10 fatalities. 14 of the injured are currently being treated in hospital.
The Center is reported to have used the “Erawan 2” plan in handling medical emergencies during the February 2 general election. The plan designated and divided different groups of medical personnel to be responsible for 9 different zones in Bangkok.
Fortunately, during the the February 2 election day, there were no reports of injuries or any victims that had to be sent to the medical center.
Since the violent clashes that erupted during the demonstrations at Ramkhamheng Road on November 30, 2013, there have reportedly been 10 fatalities and 594 injuries, 14 of whom are currently in hospital.
