BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand welcomes tourists to explore nature trails across the country during the winter season. The comfortable cool weather makes it perfect for hiking activities. The Department of National Parks offers over 300 nature study trails in the northern and northeastern regions, ranging from 100 meters to 64 kilometers. For fitness enthusiasts, 80 long-distance trails extend beyond 2 kilometers.
Must-visit National Parks include:
– Khao Yai National Park, spanning across four provinces: Nakhon Nayok, Saraburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Prachin Buri
– Ao Siam National Park, featuring the Yang Na Forest Nature Trail in Prachuap Khiri Khan
– Phu Lan Kha National Park’s new “San Phaya Nak” eco-tourism trail in Chaiyaphum, offering scenic views throughout the route
– Tham Sa Koen National Park’s “Ton Phra Chao 5 Phra Ong” nature trail in Nan and Phayao
– Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary in Loei, showcasing montane forest ecosystems
– Doi Mon Jong in Omkoi Wildlife Sanctuary, Chiang Mai, featuring spectacular viewpoints
