BANGKOK, Thailand – The 2nd Thailand Road Traffic Safety Forum was held under the theme “Countermeasures to Reduce Traffic Accidents Caused by Human Behavior: Education and Awareness Initiatives.” The event brought together representatives from government agencies, private organizations, and road safety institutions.
The Department of Land Transport is committed to reducing road accidents through various strategies, including law enforcement, vehicle safety enhancements, improving the driver’s license process, and public awareness campaigns. Their National Road Safety Master Plan 2022-2027 sets a goal to reduce the road accident fatality rate to 12 per 100,000 people by 2027.
This forum provided a platform for sharing knowledge and discussing effective strategies for preventing road accidents, covering topics such as policy development, training programs, and law enforcement measures.
