The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to encourage tourists to explore responsible and sustainable tourism initiatives at “The Sirindhorn International Environmental Park”, the international learning and training centre on natural resources, environment and energy according to the royal initiative guidelines for sustainability.
Located at the Rama VI Camp, Cha-am District, Phetchaburi, the Park is a Silver Award winner at the 14th Thailand Tourism Awards 2023 in the Attraction – Learning and Doing category.
Activities include study visits in the park’s Energy for Environment Centre, Solar Energy, Wind Power, Energy for Community, The Princess Mangrove Plantation, and Wastewater Treatment System.
Services range from a Natural Resources and Environment Conservation Camp (one-day to three-day/two-night) to mangrove restoration experiences, such as, releasing fish, shrimp and crab seedlings, planting mangrove seedlings, kayaking, and observing the interactions of flora and fauna on site.
The Park offers meeting and seminar rooms that can cater from 20 to 200 participants, accommodation, karaoke and BBQ facilities, food and beverage services, and a souvenir shop.
