Extended detention planned for murderer of 3 Thai teenagers in Krabi

Police ask the Krabi provincial court to extend the detention of the 42-year-old man who shot dead three high school students – one man and two women.

The gunman, Theerasak Boonruang, was arrested yesterday (Sep 6) for murdering the 18-year-olds. Today police planned to further question the suspect who owned a car accessories shop in Krabi. Police decided not to conduct the reenactment of the crime at the murder scene for the safety of the suspect.



Theerasak was charged with murder, illegal possession of a gun and ammunition and methamphetamine abuse. He told police that he murdered the young people under the influence of drugs.

Police at the KhaoPhanom station of Krabi were informed of the murder on KhaoPhanom-Lam Thap Road in KhaoPhanom district at about 2am yesterday. The three students were found dead on the roadside and their motorcycle was completely burnt.



Witnesses said the three students were traveling on the motorcycle towards the center of KhaoPhanom district. The motorcycle collided with a black car and the car driver got off the vehicle and shot them dead before fleeing the scene. (TNA)
