CHONBURI, 10 October 2011 – Fire raged through an exhibition center of royal barge models in Chonburi province, causing at least 20 million THB in damage.
The Sunday fire has brought extensive damage to a 4D theater on the second floor. It took firefighters more than two hours to contain the blaze.
The newly-built exhibition center is geared to become a new tourism attraction of Chonburi, featuring history of the royal barge procession and models of the royal barges and multi-media exhibitions. The multi-million baht center is scheduled to open on 14 October.
