Foreign Minister joins ‘Africa Day’ Reception organized by African Ambassadors’ Group in Bangkok

H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed Thailand’s commitment to enhance Thailand-Africa relations on the basis of equality, trust and mutual benefits towards common goals of peace, prosperity and sustainable development.

H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was the Guest of Honour at the ‘Africa Day’ Reception, organized by the African Ambassadors’ Group in Bangkok, including Kenya, Morocco, South Africa, Egypt, Libya and Nigeria on 27 May 2024.

In his remarks, the Minister congratulated the African Ambassadors on the 61st Anniversary of the African Union. He expressed Thailand’s commitment to enhance Thailand-Africa relations on the basis of equality, trust and mutual benefits towards common goals of peace, prosperity and sustainable development.



The Minister also emphasized Thailand’s strong determination to intensify engagements with Africa, especially in the fields of food security, public health, and human resource development through exchanges of high-level visits, and economic, cultural and educational activities, including “The Colours of Africa 2024,” which will be co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Embassies in Bangkok, and Thai public/private sectors in September.
