BANGKOK, 31 August 2011 -Secretary General to the Foreign Minister Mr. Nawin Boonsert said the negotiation over the overlapping sea area between Thailand and Cambodia would be clarified once the Cabinet was clear on its agenda.

Following Cambodia’s Petroleum Organization expressing intention to clarify the demarcation points in the sea with Thailand, Mr. Nawin said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was still waiting for the instructions from the Cabinet to move forward with the matter.

He claimed that the Ministry would be ready to enter the negotiation with the benefits of the nation at heart and he believed that the relationship between the two countries would improve. Mr. Nawin affirmed that no government officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would be transferred in revenge of the previous administration, but it would only be based on appropriate reasons.
