Bangkok – Former Prime Minister General Chavalit Yongchaiyudh has urged everyone to learn from the past regarding Thailand’s political issues.
When asked during a recent press conference about the performance of the current government over the last four years, General Chawalit refrained from making any comment. However, he said, despite the presence of the National Council for Peace and Order, Thai citizens should look into the past, particularly the year 1932, and learn from it.
He implored all to live with the truth and stop playing the blame game. The former prime minister underlined that it is the duty of every administration to address public issues, because people are the most important element of the nation. He also declined to comment on whether or not the general election will take place.
General Chawalit mentioned that several political parties have approached him to join their groups, but he has yet to make up his mind.
