Four killed, 277 injured in four days political melee

BANGKOK, 4 December 2013 The four-day political clash has left four people dead and 277 injured, according to the Bangkok Health Emergency Centre. 

The Bangkok Health Emergency Centre, generally known as the Erawan center, has collected the information from every hospital in Bangkok and its vicinity on those who were admitted for medical treatment from November 30 to December 3.

Most of the injured have been discharged, only 36 are still at hospitals for further observation.

On Tuesday, the cabinet ordered the ministry of Public Health to start assessing how to compensate those who were affected from the clashes with government authorities, as stated by Thai laws.

The ministry of Public Health, Pradit Sinthavanarong, has also visited clash victims who are current staying in two government hospitals in the heart of Bangkok.
