The cabinet have decided to waive tollway fees for motorists using Bangkok-Chon Buri motorway and Bang Pa-in-Bang Phli Kanchanapisek ringroad as of midnight of December 29 until midnight of January 4.
The free tollway fees for the use of the two special highways, according to the Transport Ministry, was meant to facilitate the travelling of Bangkokians out of the city to upcountry provinces during the New Year’s festival.
