Bangkok – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Gen Prawit Wongsuwan has confirmed the price of diesel rocketing to 30 baht per liter and petroleum gas also rising is due to global market mechanisms, pointing out its steady rate over the past four years was due to government efforts.
He reiterated the state will continue to keep diesel at no more than 30 baht per liter but admitted that prices must be allowed to rise in accordance with actual circumstances.
On criticism of the government’s economic work online, Gen Prawit acknowledged that it was normal but that action must and has been taken place against those distorting facts.
