BANGKOK, 27 May 2015, Army Chief General Udomdej Sitabutr has affirmed that the army obeys government policies, citing its recent achievements.
Gen. Udomdej assured the public that the army is being administered in accordance with state policy, adding that evaluations are conducted after every operation. These evaluations inform the military’s policy to assign responsibilities to the appropriate officers.
He declined to give a rating on the army’s performance. However, he said that military officials have been performing their duties to the best of their ability, to maintain peace in the Kingdom.
Gen. Udomdej highlighted the army’s recent achievements, tackling drug-related crime, as well as forest & nature reserve encroachment.
