Foreign leaders have congratulated Paetongtarn Shinawatra on her appointment as Thailand’s youngest prime minister. Among those who offered their well-wishes through social media platforms were Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, and the United States Ambassador to Thailand, Robert F. Godec.



Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed his commitment to strengthening the relationship between Malaysia and Thailand, highlighting the long-standing historical, cultural, and economic links between the two neighboring countries. Similarly, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his hopes for closer ties between India and Thailand, highlighting the shared civilizational and cultural connections.

Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong stressed the deep and multidimensional relations between Singapore and Thailand, expressing confidence in the continued growth of this partnership under Paetongtarn’s leadership. The United States Ambassador to Thailand, Robert F. Godec, also extended his congratulations, affirming the U.S.’s desire to further strengthen its close friendship and partnership with Thailand.
