BANGKOK – The Ministry of Interior has said that no information related to occupation or income will be included in the new identification card, as there are no laws to support their inclusion.
Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paochinda said that Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed relevant agencies to set up a unit to collect demographic information.
The government will use this information, which will be divided into different categories, to promote national growth. A meeting will be held on December 28 to determine how the survey will be conducted.
