BANGKOK- Minister of Social Development and Human Security Pol.Gen.Adul Saengsingkaeo has expressed concerns over the vulnerable groups of people who have been affected by flooding in many areas.
The minister presided over a meeting of the ministry’s operation center on social problems and solutions. Pol.Gen.Adul said he had instructed provincial units under the ministry in the flood-affected areas to urgently help the vulnerable groups including children, women, senior people, the disabled and less-fortunate people.
The minister added he had also instructed the Department of Children and Youth to follow up on the case of an American couple battling for the custody of their daughter born with a Thai surrogate mother.
