Bangkok – The government is inviting members of the public to recite prayers for His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on the occasion of His Majesty’s 67th birthday on Sunday, July 28.

The government is to organize a mass prayer assembly at the Royal Plaza in front of Dusit Palace, Bangkok, to mark His Majesty the King’s birthday, and make merit for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.

The religious ceremony will be presided over by His Holiness Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatanana, the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, who will be joined by 191 Buddhist monks.

On this special occasion, His Majesty the King has instructed relevant agencies to distribute books of Buddhist prayers titled “Thamma Rachini” and “Phra Suntareewanee” to all participants. The prayers reveal that praying on a regular basis will bring about wisdom.
