BANGKOK – Deputy Prime Minister Tanasak Patimapagorn said the government has set a 20-year strategy for tourism under which natural resources will be restored and local villagers will be taken care of.
He said he was confident that such strategy will lead to the stability and prosperity of the country while revenues from tourism sector from 2016 – 2017 will increase from last year though it will also largely depend on the world situation.
He reiterated that the government focuses on domestic tourism and urges Thai people to travel within the country while the government will continue to develop the local, regional and central tourist attractions and create new tourist spots.
