Chiang Mai Governor Pawin Chamniprasart donated 1,000 blankets to villagers in Mae Taeng on February 15, 2017. Mae Taeng suffers cold weather every year and it was determined that 20,000 homes were in need of warm clothing and blankets. His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun assigned a representative to donate 500 blankets people in trouble. The private sector already donated 2,000 blankets to people in the district. The government has asked for assistance from the private sector to help more villagers in the district.
