BANGKOK, Thailand Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, accompanied by Deputy Governor Wisanu Subsompon, inspected the sidewalk renovation project on Itsaraphap Road near the MRT Itsaraphap Station in Bangkok Yai District, October 15. The project, which spans 210 days, began in June 2024 and is expected to be completed by January 2025.



The renovation is part of the city’s initiative to improve sidewalks within a one-kilometer radius of MRT stations, enhancing accessibility and safety for commuters. Governor Chadchart emphasized the importance of managing key details like manhole covers and construction materials, as they directly impact public safety. He also stressed the need for cleanliness, including waste management, and urged the team to complete the project on time.

During the visit, the governor also inspected a nearby bicycle parking area near Wat Ratchasittharam Ratchaworawihan, where district authorities will soon repaint and upgrade the facilities.
