BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister’s Office Minister Jiraporn Sindhuprai has addressed the ongoing flood crisis in Chiang Rai and other affected regions, stating that the government has mobilized all available resources to assist communities. Plans are being implemented to establish a Flood Relief Operations Center and form a committee to manage responses to floods, storms, and landslides, ensuring coordination among agencies for immediate relief and long-term recovery.

Minister Jiraporn offered condolences to families affected by the severe flooding, particularly those who have lost loved ones. The Premier has approved the 2024 fiscal emergency budget to expedite assistance for flood-affected communities, focusing on the swift disbursement of funds to ensure timely relief. Jiraporn also commended all volunteers aiding in relief operations and expressed condolences to the families of two personnel who tragically lost their lives. She affirmed that measures to support these families are currently being considered.
