BANGKOK,(NNT) – The Government Savings Bank (GSB) is preparing to organize market fairs in eight provinces to promote the grassroots economy.
The first GSB market fair of the year will take place in Prachinburi on 31st March and 1st April. A similar activity will then be held in Ratchaburi, Sakon Nakhon, Lopburi, Phitsanulok, Chaiyaphum, Krabi and Lamphang.
The market fairs will feature outlets selling locally-made products, One Tambon One Product (OTOP) goods, as well as entertainment performances. The objectives are to foster small and medium enterprises and the local economy.
President and CEO of GSB Chatchai Payuhanaveechai said today that this year’s market fairs would be more interesting than the previous ones, thanks to positive feedback from consumers and participating operators during the past two years.
